Sergei Nemtsov

From Caligo Mundi

A native Russian in his early 40's, Sergei completed his Mathematics Phd at 16, before moving into the Steklov Mathematical Institute, where for a few years, life was good. Then the USSR collapsed. Finding work (well, work where they actually paid you in the same year) even for a mathematical prodigy, was difficult and after bouncing between a number of different jobs, Sergei finally found a role suited to him in this new world, writing computer programmes - for the Russian Mafia. From writing their programmes Sergei gradually moved up the organisation until he was responsible for running the organisations Internet bots, using code to take over people's computers and then selling this network to the highest bidder for whatever role they needed. Life was good. Then something (the records have been classified confidential, those that weren't destroyed out of hand and even Sergei seems to be incapable of talking about it - clearly a Geas) and Sergei was extradited to the UK, where he was given the choice, go to jail, or join this strange group. So just being released by HR (with a number of questioning looks and mutters of "Thirteenth Directorate"), Sergei is the newest member of the Computational Demonolgy Department.
